Barbara Leatherwood-Gomez

Founder and CEO

Barbara founded Hummingbird Communications, LLC in 2017.  She created a 3E partnership approach that offers her clients unwavering ethical, effective, expertise in applying the science of strategic public affairs to any industry.  With more than three decades of experience, she provides an unwavering commitment to excellence and insight to navigate the complexities of today’s global communication landscape.

From reputation management, stakeholder engagement and social responsibility to project management, crisis communications, and more, Barb offers strategic guidance and support to help drive success for her clients.

Keith Leatherwood Jr.

VP Business Development

Keith is instrumental in business development, engaging clients, and identifying how Hummingbird can best meet their needs. With a background in the finance industry, he combines strong business acumen and sharp communication skills to support business expansion and manage clients’ accounts, identifying solutions for the public and private sectors.

Additionally, Keith brings expertise in monitoring and identifying legislation and regulations to foresee issues that may impact clients and develops and implements advocacy plans on their behalf to get in front of any potential problems.

Evan Young

Social Media Specialist

Evan is a digital marketing professional with 9 years of experience in B2B, brick-and-mortar, and CPG marketing. He has a proven track record of developing and implementing successful marketing strategies and is skilled in data analysis, strategy formulation, and campaign management. Evan’s passion for leveraging new media and technology drives reputation and business growth for Hummingbird’s clients.

Sarah Schramm

Communications Manager and Editor

Sarah brings nearly 25 years of corporate communications experience to the Hummingbird team. Drawing from a diverse background that includes the energy and education sectors, she offers experience in planning, managing, and writing print and digital publications and messaging, as well as branding and strategy development.

Josh is an experienced communicator with more than 30 years of experience.
